Chime Limits: Transfer, ATM, and SpotMe Caps
As of October 2026, Chime does not publish one fixed daily limit for its debit card or for instant transfers. Each member's caps are personal and shown in the app under Profile, Account details, View limits, according to Chime's transfer limits page. The figures Chime does publish are the $515 daily over the counter cash limit at banks, a $3,000 daily and $10,000 monthly cash deposit cap, and a $1,015 daily ATM limit on the Chime Card, per Chime's withdraw cash page and Chime's cash deposit page.
SpotMe and MyPay have their own ranges. SpotMe starts at $20 and can grow to $200 per Chime's What is SpotMe page, and MyPay runs from $20 to $500 a pay period per Chime's What is MyPay page. The sections below take each limit in turn with the Chime help page linked beside every number.
What is the Chime daily limit?
Chime sets a daily dollar cap on spending and a daily cap on cash withdrawals for each member, based on account history and the products used. There is no cap on how many transactions you make, only on the total amount. Both caps reset every night, and the exact numbers appear only inside the app.
Per Chime's daily spending and withdrawal limits page, purchases, ATM withdrawals, over the counter withdrawals at banks, cash back at checkout and any fees all count toward the daily limit. The same page says the limits reset at midnight Mountain Standard Time, may change at any time with email notice, and that ATM operators, merchants and banks can apply their own lower limits.
Chime’s card limits page adds two details: your virtual and physical debit cards share one set of daily limits, and there is no limit on how many times you can withdraw cash per day. To see your own numbers, open the app and tap Profile, then Account details, then View limits.
How much can you transfer out of Chime?
Transfer limits depend on the method. Instant transfers with an external debit card and Pay Anyone payments share one combined cap that Chime sets per member. Standard bank transfers by ACH are not held to the same daily cap, and Chime does not restrict transfers that another bank pulls or pushes.
Chime’s transfer limits page says instant transfers and Pay Anyone share a single limit, shown in the app as Transfers with your external debit cards. The page says ACH transfers are not subject to the same daily limits as instant transfers, that Chime does not limit the number of outgoing ACH transfers to an external bank, and that there is no manual way to request a higher limit.
When you hit a cap, Chime's own suggestions on that transfer limits page are an ACH transfer to a linked bank, mailing a check with Chime Checkbook, or logging in to the other bank and moving the money from there, since Chime does not limit transfers started on another bank's platform. For how ACH timing works, see Same Day ACH.
What is the Chime ATM withdrawal limit?
The ATM limit on the Chime debit card is set per member and shown in the app. The Chime Card and the older Credit Builder card have a published ATM cap that is separate from the debit card. Fees charged at an ATM count toward the daily withdrawal limit, so the usable amount can be slightly lower.
Per Chime's Chime Card page, the Chime Card daily ATM limit is $1,015 or your Available balance, whichever is less, and those withdrawals do not affect your debit card limits. Chime's Credit Builder card page lists the same $1,015 daily ATM figure for Credit Builder.
Chime's spending and ATM limits page says Chime charges $2.50 per out of network ATM withdrawal, the ATM owner may add its own fee, and all ATM fees count toward the daily withdrawal limit.
Can I withdraw thousands from Chime at a bank?
Not over the counter in one day. Chime publishes a much lower daily cap for cash taken from a bank or credit union teller with the debit card. Larger sums generally have to move by bank transfer to another account first, where that bank's own cash rules then apply.
Chime's withdraw cash page sets the over the counter limit at $515 per day, with a $2.50 fee per transaction, resetting at midnight Arizona time. You need your Chime card and a government issued ID. The same page notes that over the counter withdrawals are not supported on the Chime Card or Credit Builder card.
To move a larger sum out, the routes Chime describes on its transfer limits page are an ACH transfer to a linked external account or a Chime Checkbook check, both of which sit outside the instant transfer cap.
Can I deposit a very large sum into Chime?
Not in cash. Chime caps cash deposits at retail partners well below that figure, by day and by month. Money arriving by direct deposit or by a transfer started at another bank follows different rules, and Chime says it does not limit transfers that begin on another bank's platform.
Per Chime's cash deposit page, cash deposit limits apply across all accounts and methods combined: up to $3,000 per transaction, $3,000 per day, five deposits per day, and $10,000 per month. Walgreens and Duane Reade deposits are free; other retailers typically charge $3 to $5. You cannot deposit cash at an ATM, per the same page.
For a large amount from another bank, Chime’s transfer limits page says to start the transfer from the external bank using your Chime routing and account numbers. The sending bank's own limits then apply. See What Is a Routing Number for where to find those numbers.

The table collects every limit Chime publishes on its help center, with the source page linked in each row. Where Chime says a limit is personal, the row says so instead of guessing a number. Figures reflect the help center as fetched in October 2026.

What is the SpotMe limit?
SpotMe is Chime's fee free overdraft feature. Its limit starts small and can grow with steady direct deposits, plus temporary boosts and bonuses. It covers card purchases and cash withdrawals but not transfers, so it does not raise your transfer limit. Transactions that would go past it are declined.
Per Chime's What is SpotMe page, eligibility needs an activated physical card and at least one qualifying direct deposit of $200 or more in the past 34 days. The base limit starts at $20 and can rise to a maximum of $200. Boosts from other members add $5 each and expire at the end of the month, and you can hold up to $50 in active bonuses.
The same SpotMe page says SpotMe does not cover Pay Anyone transfers, transfers to Chime Savings, direct debits, transfers to apps such as PayPal, Cash App or Venmo, or Chime Checkbook payments. The limit is shared between your debit card and Chime Card or Credit Builder card.
What is the MyPay limit?
MyPay is a line of credit that advances part of your pay before payday. The limit is recalculated each time a qualifying direct deposit lands, and the amount you can take on a given day grows through the pay period. Using SpotMe or Instant Loans can lower it.
Chime's What is MyPay page puts the range at $20 to $500 each pay period, with some eligible members qualifying for up to $1,000. An advance is free if you wait up to 24 hours, or 3% of the amount (minimum $2, maximum $5) for instant delivery, per the same page.
Chime's MyPay access and limits page says MyPay needs two qualifying direct deposits of $200 or more within every 36 days to stay active, that there is no manual way to request an increase, and that Chime Prime members get a $100 minimum credit limit.
How to raise your Chime limits
Chime does not take limit increase requests through support. Limits move automatically based on account history, direct deposits and product use. Steady direct deposit is the lever Chime names most often across its transfer, SpotMe and MyPay pages, and workarounds exist for one off large transfers.
Chime’s transfer limits page says adding direct deposit may help raise limits over time. The MyPay limits page lists consistent deposits from the same payer, depositing your full paycheck, repaying advances in full and linking a work data source. For comparison with other apps, see Venmo Limits and How Long Does Zelle Take.
What this page does not cover
This page does not cover Chime fees in depth, credit card credit lines, Instant Loans, or limits imposed by a receiving bank, retailer or ATM owner. It also cannot show your personal debit and instant transfer caps, since Chime only displays those inside the app for each member.
