Cash App Fees 2026: Instant Deposit, ATM and Business Charges

As of October 2026, Cash App charges nothing to send or receive money from your balance or debit card, but instant transfers cost 0.5% to 2.5% (minimum $0.25 to $1, maximum $75) and each ATM withdrawal costs $2.50, according to Cash App's fee page. Sending from a credit card adds 3%, and Cash App Business accounts pay 2.6% + $0.15 per payment received, per Cash App's business fees page.

Cash App has no monthly fee, so most costs come from choices: moving money out instantly, withdrawing cash, paying with credit, spending abroad or selling through a business account. The sections below go through each fee with the Cash App page that sets it.

Does Cash App charge a fee to send or receive money?

Sending money from your Cash balance or a linked debit card is free, and so is receiving money on a personal account. The fee appears when a credit card funds the payment. Business accounts work differently, since they pay a processing fee on money they receive from customers.

Cash App's send money page says it is free to receive money on a personal account and free to send from your Cash balance or linked debit card, and that Cash App charges a 3% fee to send money from a linked credit card. The fee transparency page also says Cash App does not charge monthly fees or overdraft fees.

How much is the Cash App instant deposit fee?

Moving money from Cash App to a bank or debit card comes in two speeds. Standard transfers are free and take a few business days. Instant transfers arrive almost at once but cost a percentage of the amount, within a minimum and a maximum, and Cash App shows the exact fee before you confirm.

Cash App's withdrawal speed options help page says standard transfers are free and usually arrive within 1 to 3 business days, while instant transfers are subject to a 0.5% to 2.5% fee, with a minimum of $0.25 to $1 and a maximum of $75. The fee transparency page gives the same range and adds that Cash App uses banker's rounding to the nearest penny.

Cash App does not publish which rate inside that range applies to which transfer, so the fee shown in the app before you confirm is the figure to rely on. One Cash App marketing page, the send money FAQ, still quotes an older 0.5% to 1.75% range with a $0.25 minimum; the help center page above is the more specific source.

What does Cash App charge business accounts?

Cash App Business accounts are free to open and need no extra hardware, but every payment received carries a processing fee, deducted before the money reaches the balance. Tap to Pay payments use a different rate. Moving the money out afterwards follows the same standard and instant transfer pricing as personal accounts.

Cash App's business fees page lists a 2.6% + $0.15 processing fee on each payment a business account receives from a customer's Cash App account, and a 3% processing fee on each payment accepted through Tap to Pay. The same help page says the fee for each payment appears in the Activity tab.

To check a specific fee on a business payment, Cash App lists these steps:

  1. Open the Activity tab on the Cash App home screen.

  2. Scroll through your payment history.

  3. Select a payment to see its details, including fees.

Does Cash App charge foreign transaction fees?

Spending with the Cash App Card outside the United States carries a percentage fee on each transaction. Cash App waives it for in person card transactions in months when you meet its spending or deposit thresholds. Cash App accounts themselves are available only to United States residents.

The fee transparency page lists a 3% foreign transaction fee on international Cash App Card use, waived for in person transactions when you spend $500 or more in qualifying purchases or receive $300 or more in qualifying deposits that month. The send money page states only residents of the United States can create Cash App accounts.

Where Cash App's fee picture gets complicated

Cash App's headline message is no monthly or hidden fees, and for basic sending that holds. The gaps show up in variable pricing and in benefits that depend on monthly activity. Fees also change, so the in app disclosure before each transaction is the figure that counts.

First, the instant transfer fee is a range rather than a single rate, and Cash App's own pages quote two different ranges, the help center and the send page. Second, free in network ATM withdrawals and the foreign fee waiver depend on hitting spending or deposit thresholds each month, per the ATM fees page. Third, Cash App describes itself as a financial services platform rather than a bank, with banking services provided by partner banks, per its fee transparency page.
