Route options compared
Moving USDT0 from Ink to USDC on Ethereum can route through CCTP, Eco Routes, Bungee, or Squid. Fees and finality differ by route: CCTP burns and mints USDC natively, while aggregators bundle a swap leg with a bridge leg. The table below summarizes typical fee and time ranges for a mid-size transfer.
Route | Mechanism | Typical fee | Typical time |
Eco Routes (via portal) | Intent-based, solver-filled with USDC mint on Ethereum | 0.05% to 0.15% of notional | 30 to 90 seconds |
Circle CCTP V2 | Native burn-and-mint of USDC after a swap leg from USDT0 on Ink | Swap slippage plus gas; CCTP itself is free | 8 to 20 minutes (Fast Transfer when available) |
Bungee (Socket) | Aggregator that picks a bridge plus swap path across DEXs | 0.10% to 0.30% plus gas | 2 to 10 minutes |
Squid (Axelar) | Axelar General Message Passing with Squid swap router | 0.10% to 0.40% plus gas | 3 to 15 minutes |
