Kast Card: Spend USDC Anywhere via Visa

The KAST card is a Visa card that spends a USD balance funded with stablecoins such as USDC and USDT. Per KAST, it comes in three memberships: Standard (free, 1.5% cashback), Premium ($1,000 a year, 2%) and Private ($10,000 a year, 3%).

KAST lists 0% fees on USD card spend, top-ups and Apple Pay or Google Pay, and converts supported stablecoin deposits to USD at 1:1 with 0% spread. KAST says the card works at 150M+ merchants in 170+ countries.

What is the KAST card?

KAST is a payments app, not a bank and not a token. You hold a dollar balance, fund it with stablecoins or bank transfers, and spend it anywhere Visa is accepted, in stores, online, or through a phone wallet. Rewards are paid back in dollars rather than in a crypto asset.

KAST describes itself as a payments app that issues cards through regulated partners, and says it is not a bank. It accepts USDT and USDC across 10+ chains, along with PENGU and 25+ other coins, per KAST.

KAST has not announced a token. KAST Points are a membership perk that KAST awards only on the paid Premium and Private tiers, and KAST states that Points can be modified or discontinued and are not a guaranteed return.

KAST card tiers and cashback

Membership applies to your whole account, not a single card. All three tiers pay flat USD cashback on eligible spend with no category rules. The paid tiers move the card to Visa Infinite, add KAST Points on top of cashback, and raise the monthly spend cap that cashback applies to.

Memberships are billed yearly with no monthly option, and KAST gives a 30-day notice before a renewal charge. Premium includes a metal card, with an Illuma variant whose Solana logo lights up when tapped, and Private includes a gold-plated card, per KAST.

Cashback is credited in USD when a transaction is authorized and is redeemed against later purchases, per KAST. Premium and Private holders also get Visa Infinite benefits such as travel insurance, purchase protection and concierge, which KAST notes are provided by Visa and require registration on the Visa Benefits portal.

KAST card fees

Spending dollars costs nothing extra; the fees that matter are for foreign currency, small foreign purchases, cash at ATMs and physical card delivery. Check the KAST app before confirming, since KAST says the exact foreign exchange fee depends on your country and the card program.

Depositing and withdrawing stablecoins

Stablecoin deposits land as a USD balance you can spend right away. Receiving supported stablecoins carries no KAST fee, though the sending wallet still pays the network fee. Other tokens are converted to stablecoins on arrival, with the conversion fee shown in the app before you confirm.

KAST charges 0% on stablecoin deposits, excluding blockchain network fees. Bank deposits cost $2 by ACH, $15 by FedWire, $30 by SWIFT, and 0.5% by SEPA, per KAST.

KAST Reserve and other account features

Beyond the card, a KAST account can hold a dollar balance that earns rewards, receive bank transfers through US and EU account details, and send money abroad. These features sit alongside the card and use the same membership tier to set rates.

KAST Reserve pays a reward rate of 8% on Standard, 10% on Premium and 12% on Private, an introductory offer that KAST says ends 1 July 2027. The calculator on KAST applies the higher rate to the first $50,000 and 8% above it, and describes the payout as rewards, not interest.

KAST offers US and EU account details for receiving ACH, SEPA and wire transfers, and launched KAST Business for companies on Sep 1, 2026.

Is the KAST card worth it?

Standard suits most people: no annual fee, flat cashback, and free dollar spending. The paid tiers only pay for themselves at high monthly spend or with a large Reserve balance. Heavy cash users should weigh the ATM fee, and anyone spending in other currencies should check the FX fee for their country.

As a rough check, Premium cashback of 2% on the full $10,000 monthly cap returns $2,400 a year against a $1,000 fee, using figures from KAST. Private at 3% on the full $40,000 cap returns $14,400 against $10,000, before Points or Reserve rewards, per KAST.

  • Custody: balances are held by KAST and its partners, not in a wallet you control, and KAST is not a bank.

  • Rewards can change: KAST says Points, rewards and staking benefits can be modified or ended at its discretion.

  • Availability varies by country, so confirm support in the app before ordering a card.

How to get a KAST card

Sign up takes a phone and a government ID. Once identity verification clears, you can issue a virtual card, add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, fund the account, and start spending. A physical card is optional on the free tier and included on paid tiers.

  1. Download the KAST app and create an account.

  2. Complete identity verification with a government ID and selfie.

  3. Pick a membership: Standard, Premium or Private.

  4. Issue a virtual card and add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

  5. Deposit USDC or USDT on a supported network, or send a bank transfer.
