A self-custodied, or non-custodial, wallet is a type of crypto wallet in which the user fully controls their private keys and funds. Unlike custodial wallets managed by third parties, a self-custodied wallet gives the user complete ownership and responsibility for securing their crypto assets. This type of wallet is ideal for users who want complete control but also requires them to safely store their private keys and recovery phrases.
