One Click. Full Send.

Eco’s mission is simply stated: To bring money onchain and make it work better for people, while it moves and while it sits. We believe this starts with stablecoins — that stables will be the most held assets onchain, most every chain will support them, and everyone will have ready access to them. The upshot is that stablecoins will be the most interoperable assets onchain, and stablecoin-based user experience will solve much of the fragmentation that plagues the crypto ecosystem today.

Eco is a stablecoin liquidity layer for onchain apps and protocols. Eco’s Routes and Accounts products make it easy for developers to access stablecoin liquidity in one integration, and easy for stablecoin holders to cross chains and use apps in one click — regardless of what stables you might hold, or where. Finally, Eco Crowd Liquidity is a platform for builders, chain ecosystems and stablecoin holders to optimally share stablecoin liquidity, when and where it’s needed. Crowd Liquidity makes it so that your stablecoins in any connected wallet are always earning yield, simply by sitting there.

Together, these pieces make up the Eco Network: a user-owned and user-governed “Stablelayer” enabling apps, protocols and chain ecosystems to share and monetize stablecoin liquidity while making the one-click stablesend ubiquitous. For the first time, Eco makes crypto UX consistent and intuitive for everyone, to give people the confidence to bring their money onchain and keep it there.

One-Click System Design

Eco enables single-click stablesends with two initial products: Routes and Accounts.

Eco Routes are simply liquidity pathways connecting apps and chains — designed to provide the lowest-cost, fastest-fill execution for sending stablecoins and using them to do the thing you want to do. By integrating Routes, developers realize multiple benefits:

  • Best transaction execution. Routes are intent-based and highly optimized for stablecoins.
  • Permissionless and programmable. Routes are permissionless to integrate, enabling developers to source stablecoin liquidity from multiple connected chains and wallets with one integration and making it easier for people to access new products.
  • Flexible. Routes support various post-send actions and allow for different transaction validation methods, so developers can optimize for the performance and security model most appropriate for their app or protocol.

Eco Accounts complement Routes to standardize the one-click “powered by Eco” user experience across all integrating apps, regardless of what chain they are built on or what stablecoins they support. Accounts are not a standalone wallet or app; rather a seamless way for users to link wallets they already use to aggregate their stablecoin spending power and use it anywhere across the network.

Accounts enable developers to simplify stablecoin-native experiences in their apps; they also enable end users to aggregate and utilize their stablecoin “spending power” from anywhere in the network. The Eco Accounts SDK allows an app to pull from a user’s stablecoin balances across all connected wallets, and compose cross-chain actions into the necessary one-click transaction instructions.

If Eco Routes are like the money transfer rails underpinning the Visa network, then Eco Accounts are the stripe or chip on the Visa card, standardizing and simplifying the UX for using the network.

Crowd Liquidity: For the People, By the People

Working together, Routes and Accounts deliver the one-click experience Eco stands for. But on their own, Routes and Accounts cannot also ensure that (a) the network is effectively owned and governed by its users, or (b) liquidity is readily available, where and when it needs to be, to give users the best possible transaction execution. That’s where Crowd Liquidity comes in.

Today most onchain order flow is filled by sophisticated actors, often institutional capital providers managing liquidity offchain. But this current market structure has a few major drawbacks:

  • It has a high barrier to entry that excludes retail or “mid market” capital providers. Solvers must often run custom infrastructure to receive order flow and manage digital asset inventory, meaning only the most well-resourced providers can participate and earn yield from cross-chain order flow.
  • There’s no guarantee that capital is efficiently allocated and users are getting the best terms. Most solver capital is held offchain, and most price discovery remains opaque. But we want to be bringing more capital onchain, and making price discovery more competitive.

Imagine something better: an intelligent liquidity network that you and anyone else — regardless of available capital or your level of technical sophistication — could contribute to simply by holding stables, without needing to lock them up or otherwise keep track of disparate balances across different chains. This network would pool liquidity in a “communal solver” and enable average holders to earn yield (on top of any native stablecoin yield) for cross-chain transactions served by the pool — smartly allocating just-in-time liquidity to expose this fee stream to members of the crowd and, keep capital onchain.

Crowd Liquidity enables any Eco Account or Routes-connected protocol with a passive stablecoin balance to serve order flow across the network. This scales capacity and democratizes access to solver yield, making pooled user capital competitive with “professional” capital serving most cross-chain order flow today. Initially, Eco Crowd Liquidity decouples the roles of the solver and capital provider, enabling solvers — sophisticated arbitrageurs, market makers, AI agents — to borrow from crowd pools to reduce the overhead of managing their own cross-chain balances and infrastructure. Ultimately the pool itself will act as a sort of intelligent solver, allocating balances from all users to serve the surging demand for cross-chain stablecoin liquidity.

It’s critical to consider how the system fits together to remove user friction: Routes and Accounts make it so that you simply need to know your “spending power” and that it’s sufficient to do the next thing you want to do — without needing to manually track which stables you have where. They aggregate, pull and route your funds whenever you take action. Crowd Liquidity then allows you to earn yield without doing anything more at all. Because your money remains liquid and spendable across the network, you can allow Crowd Liquidity to allocate capital where there’s demand, and pay you yield. It’s restaking for your dollars.

Eco Roadmap & Endgame

Routes, Accounts and Crowd Liquidity are powerful in and of themselves; but each becomes far more powerful and scalable given a dedicated execution environment and shared settlement layer with a protocol token to secure it. The Eco Network will feature an EVM rollup optimized for aggregating and allocating Crowd Liquidity, lowering transaction costs across Routes, and orchestrating order flow for Accounts. The Eco rollup is not general purpose for app builders; rather, it is optimized only for transaction execution, capital efficiency and economic security within the Eco Network.

Ultimately the Eco Network will be a shared stablecoin liquidity network across the crypto ecosystem, an interoperable Stablelayer to denominate any onchain action in a single-click stablesend experience. More than that: Eco is a user-owned network to help bring $billions ($trillions?) in new capital onchain, and keep it there. By using Eco and contributing to Crowd Liquidity, you are contributing to an onchain experience that’s easier for everyone.

Routes, Accounts and Crowd Liquidity will each be live in beta during Q1 2025. They will be integrated in Q2 2025, leading to Eco Network launch by Summer 2025.

Until then, follow Eco and look out in March for early ways to join the Crowd 👀

About Eco

Eco enables any onchain action to be a simple, one-click stablesend. With Eco, apps can easily accept anyone’s preferred stablecoin, regardless of the network — unlocking stablecoin liquidity from any connected chain and giving users the simplest onchain experience. To make this possible, the Eco Protocol brings together Routes, Accounts, and Crowd Liquidity (coming soon) to give app developers the ultimate flexibility while prioritizing speed, cost, and security.
