Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security method that requires two different forms of identification to verify a user’s identity. Typically, this involves combining a password with another verification method (such as a phone number, authentication app or fingerprint). 2FA adds an extra layer of protection, making it harder for cybercriminals to access sensitive data or accounts, even if they obtain your password.
